About Us
OUR MISSION
Innofund

When data is stored immutably on a blockchain, we can all see it, all trust it, all use it to verify or contest the results of a vote or the volume or veracity of a financial transaction. Houses, airline tickets, or grain can all be traded, owned, redeemed or partitioned using digital assets or ‘tokens’.
We believe the application of these tools in the world’s largest giving organisations can massively increase impact. We treat blockchain as a gift to mankind, designed to regulate the relationships between Facilitators (who give funds) and Changemakers (who receive the money and implement community-focused work).
Innofund is on a journey to change the way that aid, humanitarian organisations, family offices and impact investors think about and operate with blockchain.
A blockchain is essentially a ledger of information, which when it is public can be accessed by anyone. Projects that store data in this way are already disrupting so much in our lives, often invisibly but for the ultimate good. Contrary to often-cited misconceptions, blockchain brings more transparency, efficiency and value to the business ecosystems it is disrupting: from supply chains to aviation or financial services, with key use cases across real estate, health, sport, digital identity and media verification.
In the humanitarian sector, digital wallets are proving to be a far better way to get money to people in disasters than with a suitcase of cash. In international development, blockchain use cases multiply year-on-year: immutable data lends itself to building trust around reforestation figures, food security outputs or digital identity, for example. Financial inclusion for the one billion globally who remain unbanked is another blockchain target.
Excellence
At Innofund we explore the ‘for good’ in blockchain in various ways:
-
We work with a wide community of SDG/humanitarian-focused stakeholders: UN agencies, INGOs, impact-driven startups and blockchains, policy makers, impact investors and the academic sector
-
We co-organise, together with UNDP and Positive Blockchain, the Blockchain4Good Summit to bring all these stakeholders and ideas together
-
We research and advocate how blockchain can strengthen or even substitute key use cases in, for example, food security or anticipatory action
-
Through our partnerships with agencies like UNDP, we build and customise the administration, donation, crowdfunding and grant management tools they need to fully take advantage of emerging technologies.
-
We build tailor-made 21st century philanthropic dashboards, tools and web3-integrated platforms for large giving organisations
-
Innofund’s consultants have years of combined experience in the aid and humanitarian sectors, as well as in business, finance, marketing and tech. All of us are passionate about the potential of human-centred technology.

WHO WE ARE
Meet the Founders
Our founders' story began 20 years ago in their first entrepreneurial partnership in university. Since then a ground level view of the problems in the Global South and a common passion for all things Civic Tech, Blockchain and for helping the world to succeed in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has led to Innofund's founding in 2021. Building their own blockchain technology for impact, our founders saw a need for personalised, results-driven blockchain-for-impact consulting services with the planet and its inhabitants at the center.
